April 16, 2012 9:43 pm Woooo rock on guys! Thanks for letting me help get like four of those downloads!
December 22, 2010 1:39 pm For no good reason I'm taking a strong stance that you're wrong (and will be the first to apologize if you're not). First, there was the whole recent Millar fake-out "death of the Invisible Woman" nonsense, and it seems weird that they would actually kill her now. Also, as others have said, killing the female character just doesn't seem like something they would do right now, I'm just not getting that vibe. My vote is for Franklin: I like what someone said above about the "three" referring to the actual Richards family, and didn't something recently happen where Doom or someone told Reed that Franklin's powers were back, or something (my memory is tanking)? Like, maybe he'll sacrifice himself in some way, cop-outty as that would be. Finally, my hatred of Reed is well known, so I've been pulling for him to be the victim this whole time, and I think there's a good chance, but I'm not going to officially take that position for fear of crushing disappointment.
October 24, 2010 7:39 pm ...I'm pretty sure Josh was talking about all those many years of comics that were printed before there was such a thing as "digitally".
October 24, 2010 4:29 pm Thanks for having me back guys, it was a blast! But come on, I wasn't remotely as bad this time re: Batman & Robin ;).

Froggulper is right, it's my fault that I didn't study and pay close enough attention to follow what was going on. Because Morrison did not make me want to. I acknowledge that he makes lots of people want to, and he made me want to with Seven Soldiers, and WE3, and Joe the Barbarian, and Sea Guy (which is deceptively complex). But not with Batman and Robin, because in my opinion it is disjointed in a way that does not inspire me to dig--I'm not going to assume it's transcendant just because it's Morrison. And this is disappointing, and this is what I was expressing. And incidentally, if Josh and I were lazy, baby-bird comics readers, we probably wouldn't spend the enormous amounts of time doing what we do every week :).

Million thanks for having me guys, it was a lot of fun.

Re: the DC bashing, we talked primarily about three DC books: One that none of us were really into, one that we like but have issues with, and one that I slobbered over positively like a crazy little girl. I'm sorry if it's not the one you read though!

August 21, 2008 1:19 pm Great post, Ron. I'm looking foward to reviewing Comic Book Tattoo for Billboard within the next couple of weeks, because it will be a chance to point out the project is a great example for BOTH industries in terms of an artist taking her creative output by the reins.

Can't really explain how excited I am for FC: Revelations, chances of it living up are low but I remain optimistic.

Swimming is always my favorite because I was a swimmer growing up, which also makes it my least favorite because I have flashback anxiety attacks.

August 4, 2008 10:29 pm I think the Secret Invasion inertia boils down to Bendis feeling *very* proud of himself for having laid all the secret groundwork for three years, and now he is extremely excited about and caught up in unpeeling the layers. Unfortunately, there's not much story in there, and what there is has progressed about two hours. The concept of what he's doing could have been great, but his plan for execution is falling far short of the extravaganza in his head.

Most excited about Huntress, me thinks, with JSA in close second. And, uh, Skrulls vs. Power Pack? Sure, why not. And Popgun, but I have to finish reading Vol. 1 first.

As for SD news, definitely intrigued by Gaiman on Batman, and stoked about the Milestone characters and the Zatanna series. DC certainly had more going on with the announcements.
