Not being in the know on many indie creators, Young Liars is my first taste of David Lapham’s work. After being a tad bit under-whelmed by the first issue. It was good but not great, I was willing to try the 2nd issue.
The story from the first issue is that it revolves around a girl named Sadie Browning and her friends in a punk club scene. It was good but not great, I was willing to try the 2nd issue. Now I have to say, the second issue was fantastic, Lapham’s use of the characters song lyrics as a narrative has been something I have been wanting to see/write for a while. I also loved how the credits of the book are on the tape and on the reverse side had song recommendations for the book. I love this book, and I can’t wait to see where it goes. I want to go and find Stray Bullets Vol. 1 just so I can find out what I have been missing.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
