It’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed one of these “this is how the team was formed” books that Marvel seems to put out with each crossover event.  Most recently, the Dark X-Men series felt like it was cheap filler.  This issue, however, and maybe it’s helped by being just a single issue, is a great “who’s who” of Seline’s little cabal.

It was nice to finally learn what’s been going on with Wither since he fell of the X-radar during the Academy X days.  And while the rest of the character storylines were interesting, what sold me most on this book was the diversity of art.  All of it good to excellent.

If you’re reading Necrosha and loving it, you will probably enjoy it.  If you’re not reading Necrosha, but have been thinking about it, check this issue out, and then go pick up Necrosha #1.  Thus far, it’s been a quality storyline.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 5 - Excellent

  1. Did you read NEW X-MEN #32?  It was the beginning of the Wither/Selene relationship, and one of my favorite x-issues of the past few years.

  2. I read it when it came out (I read that whole series), but I don’t remember it.  I’ll check it out again.  Thanks for reminding me.
