I am trying my best to like this book, as I enjoy some of Gage’s other work, but every time I start to like what’s happening in this book, it takes a turn for the Velveeta.

This issue seems to mostly be the writer trying to redeem Rogue from bad decision making in the previous arc. It should feel natural that Rogue is the one seeking redemption, but it feels much more like it’s Gage asking us to forgive her for something that, in the scale of X-books, doesn’t seem to require much attention.

I have mixed feelings on Sandoval’s art. I love the way he draws Ice Man, but that’s about it. Occasionally, a panel will really appeal to me, but mostly it just seems like middle of the road X-fare.
