Wake up people! You are blowing it. X-Men Legacy is a unique and refreshing take on an X-book that manages to stand alone while also referring to the larger X-Men (and Marvel) status quos. And after the reveal at the end of this issue — guess what? — it even “matters” if that’s something you care about.

Simon Spurrier and his cadre of slightly offbeat artists are growing David Haller (don’t call him Legion!) into a three-dimensional character that could finally have a positive impact on the larger X-narrative, while simultaneously subverting many of the tropes and trappings of traditional super-hero books.

I think this is a run a lot of people will look back on in a couple years and wonder why they weren’t in on the ground floor.

  1. I have been digging those covers. Maybe I’ll start picking it up. Thanks man

  2. I’ve been wondering if I should pick this book up. As Ghostmann said, the covers have been amazing.

  3. This was an outstanding issue! Davidson’s art is excellent, and as much as I enjoy Villarubia’s colors, I prefer his look to the book. I too really like where this story “exists”. It’s character-driven with creative ideas and fits nicely in the X universe. What an interesting series of events this issue! @2.99 its definitely worth checking out if you’re an X-Men fan. Thumbs up on the review Ken.
