So little time but I have to write a little bit about this book!

This book fool’s you into thinking you’re reading just a good superhero story but it’s so much more. It’s got metaphors and subtle literary devices, and deep running themes and so much layers! Fire means more than fire. And there’s a reason why this is an alternate timeline, it means something. And then there are so many other things that I don’t have time to discuss and it’s frustrating that I can’t because not enough people are getting this.

My wife and I poured over this issue for 45 minutes after having read it. It’s so dense and rich!

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. That’s awesome you can do that with your wife.  Please elaborate on what the issue meant to you, what are the metaphors, what is the fire analogous to or what does it symbolize to you?

I went through this pretty quick before bed, so didn’t get the depth you perceived, but thought the background story on the antagonist was pretty wicked.
