After picking this up I had my hopes of reading a story with great character development so we can really see into Logan’s persona. What we get here as a first impression is how much blood and gore Marvel can get into this MAX series and see only the savage side of Wolverine. The art was subpar and I immediately spotted mistakes early in the first few pages.Wolverine’s claws looked to be drawn laced with adamantium and not bare bone which means his skeleton is reinforced but he was pictured floating in the water with both his legs missing which grew back later. The book felt rushed and I hope everything turns around in issue 2 and not become a Kill Bill vol.1 hack and slash fest.
