Wolverine of the Weasel Folk? Nice. Logan puling a sword out of a stone? Excellent. The High Evolutionary removing our hero’s berserker rage “flaw?” Now that’s interesting.

Fred Van Lente continues his excellent work on this new series that focuses on Wolverine and Kitty Pryde. In this issue they are trying to track down Magneto at Wundagore mountain, but what they find is more than they bargained for.

I really like this “all ages” book that all ages can really read. I know many of you hear all ages and think it’s for kids. More Pixar than Rugrats (actually, I liked Rugrats too, but that’s another story). The stories are fresh and relatively baggage free. But they’re not simplifid either. There’s actual real stuff going on and a lot of times its pretty dense material. The interactions between Kitty and Wolverine are excellent as well, and throw in some of the Wundagorians and its even better.

I was disappointed that Andrea DiVito wasn’t coming back to this title, but Salvador Espin does a great job on this issue. I especially liked the opening pages that were told in a stained-glass art style.

I have a lot of hopes for this title as well as the future of what looks to me to be the promising future of a great new writer.
