I said it in my review of Uncanny X-Force, and I’ll say it again here. I’m overjoyed that there are two X-books coming out right now as good as these two.

Just as in Uncanny X-Force, we get some quality time sizing up Wolverine. Though, here, we also get in the head of Rachel Summers, Iceman, the old but new Angel, and Genesis (aka Kid Apocalypse). Great character studies. It’s good to have some AvX breathing room in these pages.

While I’m not a fan of some of the panel layouts (I imagine Bachalo was trying to pack as much story as possible in so few pages), there is one shadowed reference to some of the AvX battles that make me wish that Bachalo was on art duty for AvX instead of Romita Jr.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 3 - Good
