Stenbeck’s art(with Master Dave Stewart’s colors) is fucking intimidating. Slick, dark, tight as hell and just enough Mignolesque.
We are submerged in a foggy, yet detailed 19th century London, where everything Mignola happens. Sir Grey’s our vessel through this maze of clues and apparitions. In this issue we found our first guides that lead us directly into what we are looking for: The bloody uderground.

Mignola is at his best with this classic take on mystical investigation. The ties to B.P.R.D. and Hellboy are the big mystery and the blurry line between “heaven and Hell”. If you’ve never read the Mignola-verse, its the perfect story to start from. Its not a perfect jumping on point, its the story we’re everything starts unfolding. In the timeline of the Mignola-verse; its one of the oldest story yet told.

I would do an ongoing series with what’s behind the Captain’s desk.

Story: 5 - Excellent
