As a long time WildCAT’s fan, this book has me asking, “WTF?!?” I think we’re into the third apocalypse in as many years, and nothing has progressed in terms of character development or story. The first story arc written by Christos Gage wrapped up nicely, and gave a logical starting point for this current series by Beechen. But that’s been completely abandoned. It seems as though the editors at Wildstorm couldn’t decide on the direction of the Authority and the CAT’s, so they just threw the two books together, and let the writers choose which characters they wanted to use. (Full discretion here: I’m a huge grifter fan, and not having him in the book is a big downer) The thread with Grunge seems interesting, but the payoff along with the story better be good, or else I’m dropping this title

Story: 1 - Poor
