If you have been reading the Wildstorm Armageddon plot line this is the issue that ties it all together. This is the strength of having, fundamentally, one person do all the plotting and writing. You can absolutely see how everything from all of the Wildstorm books ties together based on the revelation of Tao as the primary villain. DC and Marvel have, for the most part, been bungling their big events for the last few years - with a handful of exceptions - while WIldstorm has quietly had a huge, year long crossover that has been a success thanks to Cristos Gage. The only thing that there may to not like is that you can see the universe will be returning to 'status quo' soon based on the direction that this book begins with Spartan claiming the Void powers again.
