The second issue of the Dabel Bros. ‘Warriors’ have finally comed out. After reading the first issue again I see what is a little wrong with this comic. This is an adaptation of the film on the surface….and that’s all there is too it. Nothing in depth about the characters, just go from scene to scene of the film and translate it on paper. For a huge fan of the film, that isnt a big problem. I love the film and I love seeing these characters just talking in bad 70’s lingo. But I wish there was a bit more to this then just full on translation of diaologue. The video game adaptation did a much better job giving more of a background and personality to the characters.

What I can say that the art is much better this time around. The anatomy’s for the characters look better and it’s not like they are using the film as a whole reference point. Faces look much more detailed and it’s easier to tell who is who on the page. Although the fingers for the characters look too thin to me. Seriously it’s like everyone has the hands of an 80 year old witch.

Even if this isnt as deep as a comic it could be, this is still a lot of fun. If you cant find any copies of the film, try the comic out. Since it’s practically a full on translation of the film your not gonna miss anything by only reading this. There’s just so much the Dabel Bros. could’ve done to this adaptation.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good
