Good:
+ I've really liked this series and while I am a little sad to see it end, I'm very happy that it ended on a high note. It was nice to see Jim and his gang beat Norman Osborne is just about every way imagineable. Not only does War Machine not die, but they manage to get Jim's name cleared (with Norman's help) and subject suitable punnishment upon the Bainesville Ten. I also like that you think Jim is killed near the end of the issue, as it was perfectly believeable that he could die since this is the last issue.
+ I'm glad to see they ended the series by givin Jim Rhodes a new body. The whole cyborg thing was cool for a while, but it was kind of creepy and with everything else they are able to do in the Marvel universe it made sense that they should eventually get him back into a human body. On top of that, the first thing he does with his new body is punch Norman Osborne in the face.
+ Solid artwork in this book as usual. Nothing that really blows you away but it is very consistant and it works well with the story.
+ This was a really good last issue and it ends so that they can either establish another War Machine series, or make it so that he can be a regular character either in Iron Man, one of the Avengers titles, or both. He is a great character and this series helped to make him more of a stand alone character but at the same time showed that he can work well in storylines with other characters. I assume with War Machine being in Iron Man 2 that we will see more of Jim Rhodes in the comics (I know he is in this weeks Iron Man) and I for one am very happy about this.
Bad:
- Really nothing bad about this issue. My only complaint was that the end was spoiled by this weeks Iron Man but that is just bad timing with both books coming out the same week and me reading Iron Man first.
Overall, another very enjoyable issue. This series was a lot of fun; it was mostly action and fighting but it worked because they incorporated some cool strories and really made this book important to Dark Reign.
My rating: 4.5/5
Art: 4 - Very Good
