While reading this issue I found myself wondering two things. Why are they bringing back Psylocke, and why is it so easy for a band of second rate fringe characters to take down the X-men. This issue while entertaining was didn't seem to have the weight behind that it should. I am not sure if it was the art or the writing or the combination of the two. But, especially with the reveal at the end, which hints at a battle with a powerful old foe the should be some sort of impact but there wasn't Also, I have tried to stay out of the whole "Greg Land sucks" argument. After all I cannot do what he does so how can I judge. However I do feel I have to say this. Face acting is one of the strongest tools an artist has in this medium. Portraying and emotion or feeling in the face of a character sets the mood and emphasis of what you are reading. Despite the whole tracing porn face thing, Land's characters lack facial expressions that fit the mood of the script and this consistently takes me out of the story. I can't help but think that this is part of what dulls the important moment in this issue
