Jonah Hex #46

I started collecting this series one issue before the '6 Gun War' started.  Having watched old westerns while growing up, I developed a natural affinity for these type of stories.  Although the Jonah Hex comics go back several decades, the story still feels original to me.  His past as a former Confederate fascinated me.  I have quickly grown attached to this story and the anti-heroes within.  I always like a story where the good and the bad are ambiguous.

Jonah and his band of Comanche warriors have finally caught up to El Papagayo and his group of miscreants.  Tellulah and Lazarus are freed from their confinement and Papagayo is tied up and questioned about Turnbull's whereabouts.  We also see that Turnbull is hiring some of the roughest and toughest men to take down Hex upon his arrival.  The final part of the book focuses on an experience Jonah had during the Civil War. 

The only funny scene in the book is where Jonah and Tellulah have finished coitus and Jonah tells Tellulah to "keep them teeth ta yourself".  It's always the little moments in comics that keep me coming back for more.
