Given my feelings on Fraction’s Uncanny run, I opened this issue up expecting terrible, terrible things.  I’m not sure if you’d say I was disappointed or pleasantly surprised, but I feel that this is a much better epilogue to Second Coming than Second Coming #2.  I think this is the best that Fraction has ever written Cyclops and/or Beast, and it’s nice that he got them both right in the same issue.  I’m also very intrigued by the idea of Franklin and Hope interacting.

Matching each character’s plot with a different artist was a great idea.  It’s also nice to see Fraction’s work not accompanies by Dodson or Land.  I still don’t like horse-faced Beast (please don’t let that become canon), but Sanders’s cartoony style is a much better fit to this story of Beast talking to Princess Powerful (from Runaways) than it was for SWORD.  Portacio was also a wonderful choice for the Cyclops story, and McKelvie’s versions of Hope and Franklin were perfect.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
