While it is disappointing that Dodson is trying to ape Land’s style, in order to provide a consistent look for this story arc, his Landish art is much more tolerable for me than actual Land art.  Do I want a whole series by him, ehhhh.  But the story continues to win me over. 

This series is kind of the reverse of most good writers X-arcs, which tend to start good and then fall into medicority.  I really did not like the beginning of Fraction’s Uncanny run, but I’ve loved the last two issues.

    1. He’s really not that good. It’s not an issue of aping Land’s style – he just doesn’t have the chops to draw the X-Men.

    2. I think that a 3 for the art is incredibly generous.

    I agree on the generous front.  I think it’s because the Land issues are just SO bad that anything else seems better by comparison.
