Uncanny X-Force is my pick of the week because Rick Remender does so much with so little. This issue is mostly a long conversation between Daken and Wolverine and Deadpool and Evan. Usually I don’t like when a comic mostly consists of characters just talking to each other, but this is like Breaking Bad level convos. Deadpool is trying to talk Evan from going to the dark side which is odd because Deadpool isn’t the best motivational speaker, but you can tell Deadpool is trying to sway Evan from becoming what he truly is. The Daken/Wolverine chat isn’t too compelling, but what happens afterwards is eyebrow raising. Psylocke is having yet another mind battle against the Shadow King and the outcome of this fight annoyed me because I think Betsy has had enough mind trauma. Now the big big shining segment in this issue is the fight between AOA Nightcrawler and AOA Blob. The killing blow is so incredibly brutal that you may change your mind on what super power you wish you had. The cliffhanger tells us that Uncanny X-Force is about to get nasty…again, and for this we are all grateful.
