For anyone who is interested in the new state of the Marvel Universe (an, understandably, that’s not everyone), this issue if a very thoughtful introduction to the new status quo, and how various characters are moving forward in it. Cassaday’s art is a treat, with a dynamism and humanity that so many artists can’t capture, and Remender lays the groundwork for a strong character balance and his usual brand of brilliant madness.

The most exciting 1st issue ever? Not by a long shot. But a very good start, making great use of the new landscape.
