I like my X-Men with a little kink and Warren Ellis's X-Men is doing it for me.  Give me more weird plots involving alternate-reality mutants and exotic technology.  Give me more naughty talk between the blue-furred scientist and the green-haired government agent.  Give me more of Cyclops cussing people the hell out.  Give me more of Bianchi's grimy cyberpunk art.  More kink, please.

No it's not anywhere in the same class as Whedon's Astonishing, but I don't mind.  It holds my interest and it makes me laugh, which is something that usually costs me more than three bucks and sometimes involves associating with people of questionable character.  I think I'll stick with this book for awhile.

Nice review, but being a person of questionable character myself, I'm surprised that the ones you hang out with charge you so little!

Transvestite hookers are a dime-a-dozen out here.

Good review - this is certainly the best issue of Ellis's run to date. Despite his reputation, I do not think that Ellis is mailing it in on this book.
