There's really only one reason to buy this book:  George Perez.  I haven't been a huge fan of his more recent stuff, but this, this is beautiful.  This is some of his best work in years, if not ever.

Now, on to the story.  It's basically the same multiverse hoo-ha that DC insists on telling over and over.  There's nothing new to see here, but yet it's quite compelling.  Much of the story will fly over the head of anyone not well-versed in the Crisis, Legion, and Green Lantern mythos, but Geoff Johns gives the story enough dramatic tension to interest more casual fans.  Interestingly, the slightly grouchy Superman that Johns is writing over in Action Comics is absent here.  The Superman in Legion of Three Worlds is the old-school milquetoast-y Superman we all know and love/hate.  There will be no killing of genocidal maniacs if he has anything to say about it!  Oh, Bleeding Heart Superman, go take a flying leap into a wall of anti-matter.

If anything, pick this up for the art.  The story might be a little too inside baseball for some, but basically you've got a lot of good guys versus a lot of bad guys, and anybody who has read comic books can get into that.

Story: 3 - Good Art: 5 - Excellent
