I keep thinking this series couldn’t get any better.  And it keeps getting better.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent

Comments

  1. I know! it’s the best thing on the shelves right now i think

  2. I love the story, but I’m having a real difficult time with the art.  It’s very frustrating.

  3. Its one of my faves ( if not My fav) books, one that I try to read right away from the shop. LaFuente’s art is a shot in the arm to the title and to Marvel in general. Him and Young’s art are the bees knees. Miyazawa’s art is very much in spirit with the title so I actually enjoy it as a fill-in. Love the book. Glad it has broken away from the usual super hero stylings still prevalent: muscled bodies, grand standing poses and intricate fighting. I like all the humor and expression Lafuente conveys, compliments Bendis very well.

  4. @telecarlos: While I do think LaFuente and Young’s art (as well as Miyazawa’s) is excellent, I completely understand why people have a tough time adjusting to it when it’s applied to already established characters.  That said, I think you’re 100% correct that it is a pitch perfect match for the way Bendis is writing this particular story.
