This comic started out so well with young Miles Morales as a street level super hero. Some of the devices to get such a young child so much free time were a little bit ham fisted, but I bought in. This latest storyline is an attempt to take a child with super powers who has previously barely beaten up overpowered thugs and wedge him into the biggest story going on in the Ultimate Universe. I see that there is going to be some kind of relationship between this Spider-man and Spider-woman, but the teaser to it is so blatant it could have been done in any story. I liked the onset of the war where a young Spider-man existed in a country in civil war and had to deal with that wile fighting crime, but this is even too much for a guy who likes stories about a man with a healing factor and metal claws to buy into. I hope that this story just serves to teach the young Spider-man to stay in New York and battle street level villains. I don't need more backup stories to tell me every conceivable angle of a battle in an alternate universe with characters I barely know or care about.
