I have finally realised that this series is not the Ultimates. I enjoyed the first volume of Avengers the way I enjoyed Kick-ass, a fun action movie, but this issue was terriable, with some good character momments. But this....
I don't normally complain, if I don't enjoy a book I assume it's not for me, and leave it be, but this is an Ultiamte book with Millar's name on it. That to me suggests I should be getting something of quality.
7 pages of the Punisher shooting random thugs. Did Millar sit at his computer and copy and paste the first 7 pages! Yes, the art was pretty, but it could have conveyed the same point in 5 pages, dare I saw 3. Is there anyone who doesn't know the gist of the Punisher, he kills bad guys. A two page spread of him leaving the room, with a mountain of the dead behind him would have been enough.
I will be stopping by my LCS on Free Comic book day, picking up some cool freebies and crossing this book of my pull list. I'd like to see Yu's art on a monthly basis, but I won't suffer a bad story to do so.

I have to disagree with you, this wasnt millar copying and pasting , this was millar having fun. This was millar giving the world HIS version of the punisher. This was balls to the walls action that served to both Illustrate and drive home both the depravity and overblown violence of the punisher. I dont think this was a perfect issue but lets be honest, this series and its predecessor are blatently written for the trade, so overall not perfect, but a 1????
