This comic book is something I have been looking forward to ever since it was announced, and it delivered everything that I thought it would. I had pretty much stopped buying all the Ultimate comics after Jeph Loeb took over, but I figured with a writer that I loved so much coming back on, I would pick this issue up. I was a huge fan of Millar and Hitch’s Ultimates, so I had high expectations, but was a little worried about the art, since I thought I would constantly be comparing to Hitch’s amazing work on Ultimates (since to me at least, this seems like a successor to that series). I was very wrong about that though, since I actually think I like Pacheo’s art just as much if not more than I liked Hitch’s. The art was even probably my favorite part about the book. Now don’t get me wrong, Millar wrote a very good story, I just would have liked to have seen a little more plot development than just mostly all action. Overall, I believe it was a great issue, and I will definitly be picking up each new issue as they come out.
