This is definitly my surprise of the week. I hesitated to buy it, because I have so many series going on already, and because it was 6$ and I need to save some money, stop spending it all on comics - you know, to buy some CDs or DVDs, or stuff, Heroes Season 2 is out, so...- but hell, I picked it up anyway. A double issue, and bimonthly. And a lot of fun too.
Most of all, I really loved how the captions fitted, in a odd way, but still, with the captions. You really had to stories going on wich was great. I went through the 50 pages in a blink and at the end, I was really sad and frustrated it ended already. It was really, really good. And October 22nd is a long way. Damn.
The art was good. Not exceptional, and man, I would've loved some colour - but hey, that guy does everything alone, so thumbs up for that, seriously - but still, it was good. Beautifully inked, a very acurate sloppyness, and it served well the story. I especially love how he draws monkey, he sure knows how.
Now I'm hooked. I can't wait for next issue and very happy I picked this up. I've never read a war comic before - well, maybe apart War Heroes, but that's not really war - but this was so much fun.
