Wow… this appears to be a “Love it” or “Loathe it” title based on the other reviews on the site.  I almost hate to admit it but I really got into this.  Let me start by saying that the Wolfman/Perez Teen Titans stories from the 80s got me into comics, so I have a soft spot in my heart for these characters and to see them featured together in the same book gave a fangasm that I haven’t had from a book in recent memory. 

Yes, there are gratuitous boobs (but the gratuitous nudity abounds in this book and is not strictly limited to the female characters), but I was able to look past them and enjoy the set-up and storyline.  I remember the Trigon storyline that kicked off the New Teen Titans waaaaay back in the late 80s and I’m looking forward to seeing what Winick can do with this one.  If he can get close to what he’s been able to do with Green Arrow and Black Canary, I’ll be very satisfied.

If the boobage caused you to hate this issue, stick with it to see the story develop (hopefully the fill-in artist will tone down the breast factor so that the story is easier to focus on).
