For a while The Walking Dead has been slow. And by that I mean slower than usual. This issue, however, felt like a full on return to form and has me super excited (scared) for issue 100! As always Kirkman delivers the goods and keeps the stakes high, and what can be said about Charlie Adlard that hasn’t already been said.
Sorry to write such a short review, but I really didnt want to reveal any spoilers, which is really tough when you are reviewing The Walking Dead!
Excellent Issue!
Art: 5 - Excellent
Something major happens, very surprising. Also some shenanigans in a room!
POTENTIAL SPOILER: DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT READ ISSUE 98 or are trade waiting or just don’t want to talk about what may happen later ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… last chance to avoid a spoiler …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… really this is your last chance ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………Now that we know who the person with the crossbow is on the cover of issue 101 (so long as it is the same villian who plugged our favorite commando in the eye), are we to assume that Kirkman was just playing with our emotions by introducing Dwight or does anyone still have hope that he will introduce a certain fan favorite in the comic in the weeks/monts to come? Does anyone thing that Dwight is actually Daryl? Looking for reasoned theories and/or spoilers. Any insight or info is appreciated.
Well–I remember reading an interview that said that he was going to try to introduce Daryl into the comic-book world, which of course would be awesome, but I don’t really know why he would change Daryl’s name and personality. Perhaps Dwight just has Daryl’s crossbow, and our beloved TV redneck is back at the other camp? I guess we’ll see!
