This is one of those books that has that “feel” to it where the reader and writer and artist are able to share an experience in an emotive sense without a million words or pictures. This issue was like a good song, four words on the right panel can say it all in so many ways and Brian Wood knows how to deliver. I loved the contrast between Callum today and the in the flashback. The small touch of romance sparking between Lars and Ryan was excellent and insightful. Zezelj and Bellaire did a good job with the art and colors. It was a little ink-heavy at times (that’s Zezelj’s style), but the overall tone was set very well especially in the flashbacks and Callum on the ice. It was a powerful issue that I hope marks the turning point for the crew of The Kapital. Oh, and it was also very cool to see the purchase of The Kapital and to find out that it wasn’t really “gifted” as Ninth Wave has told the general public (do I have that right? Or was it The Massive that was “gifted”). There’s a lot story to be told here, and I’m excited to read it.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
