One would think there's an ongoing theme to this comic. From cover to story and that is a "race". The issue picks up after the Enrico Fermi incident (he was not human) and flashes forward a year after when the Manhattan Projects team are at the twilight of their own respective experiments. This is the year of the space race and JFK is now the president. I have a feeling that it's a race to whoever finishes their own projects first. There's a sense of paranoia looming throughout the issue as to who's team or individual is just after their own interests and if the "Fermi incident" taught you about anything it's that "NO ONE CAN BE TRUSTED". The last page also does not bode well for everyone. Nick Pittarra's art is spot on and has the aesthetics of a Burnham or Quietly page. The panel with the space shuttle deserves the panel of the week also thanks to the colors provided by Jordie Belaire. Next issue can't come soon enough.
