Now that I’ve had a chance to get used to Marcus To penciling The Flash, the art wasn’t bad at all. Half this book is still colored by Brian Buccellaro, so it’s not all different. Now I’m completely new to the Flash and his rogues. I knew of Captain Cold and Mirror Master. Everyone else, I know nothing. This issue Heatwave makes his New 52 debut and I think he’s a cool character. We don’t spend a bunch of time with him in this issue, but I get that he’s a hothead with firepowers (that’s never been done before). Barry has left his old life in Central City and moved to Gotham, and apparently forgot about Iris and he other lost people in the speed force. He quickly gets a job in a coincedental place, which I envy because I can’t get a job. A fight ensues and the Flash appears, which no one finds odd and quickly puts an end to it. This issues ones to an end rather quickly which is really the only down side. I don’t see any problems with this book and when the Rogues reassemble this book will get more exciting.
