I just finally read this, three weeks after it came out, which tells you how excited I was to read issue 2 after the poor first issue. But I was pleasantly surprised by issue 2 and am now looking forward to 3.  The art was definitely a bit wonky, Adams has developed a propensity to exaggerate expressions and features even more in recent  years. And I’m not a fan of the thicker line work, but overall it’s still Neal frikkin Adams and he’s impressive no matter what.  The story was much better this issue, and I think i wouldn’t be so turned off by the overall plot if it weren’t for all the retconning (I think this is supposed to be in continuity?). Overall, it’s getting interesting and fun, and I’m glad I stuck with it.
