(This review is for not just this incredible issue of Thanos Imperative but for ALL of the work leading up to it)

The only complaint I have regarding this book is that it is a crying shame that it’s not one of the best selling comics in the industry. DnA, once again, have created an; epic, accessible, and fun book which simply has to be read. It’s interesting that as the creators have been crafting these wonderful stories set in Marvel’s cosmic universe, Green Lantern has been blowing up the sales charts in the same time frame. Ganted, the work Johns and Tomasi have done in rivigorating the Green Lantern Universe has been incredible—but it is also marred in continuity and can often involve narrative from writers and artists which is both stilted and highly awkward for potential new readers. Meanwhile, as evidenced here at the end of DnA’s years of marvel cosmic stories, the team behind these books has once again provided an epic story which can be enjoyed fully by both their most dedicated fans, as well as from new readers. Indeed, each issue scribed by DnA proves to both stand on its own, while serving as a piece to the entricately layered story—a feat which is sadly rare in many mainstream comics of late.

This team deserves all the credit they have recieved for their work and then some. Do yourself a favor and pick up some—any—of DnA’s Marvel cosmic work, it all leads up to this book, but unlike Blackest Night, and such event driven books, the fun lies in each and every issue—not in the promise of big, hyped, things to come (but unfortunately, that’s what sells comics) The Thanos Imperative will make an incredible trade. But comic lovers who enjoy big, epic, FUN, comics, would be missing out if they didn’t go read all of DnA’s work in marvel’s cosmic universe (Particularly Guardians of the Galaxy… Rocket Racoon chuggin coffee in the Guardian’s base of operations, Knowhere—the severed head of a dead celestial—commenting on how emperor Vulcan’s approval ratings are lower than Galactus’s; while Star Lord is threatining to piss in the jar of liquid in which a sentient brain lives?? All the while, these same Guardians are proactively saving the universe. ‘Nuff Said.)

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
