After reading this issue, I’ve decided I should probably go back and finally take a look at Strangers in Paradise.  While this issue continued to build from the story points of the previous one, the true highlight came from the interactions between Julie and Ivy, or more specifically, just how much they hate each other.  It was this witty banter and hilarious cat fight that truly made this issue sing.  Moore has a great way of writing female characters, and you get the sense that these women have a relationship based more on respect than they do true friendship.  This, of course, is the cornerstone for a lot of great relationships, especially ones that are required for saving the world.  With this issue, Moore has established that so long as these two women are together, our trip toward the conclusion will be a fun one.  Outside of this, the story moved along at a nice pace, and you can tell that it’s building to some big moments that should be approaching soon.  As always, the art was really fantastic.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
