The TANT (Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles) movie may not be doing well, but this book hasn’t dissapointed be yet. In just 11 issues we’ve seen the turtles find Raph, meet Casey, April, Shredder, Karai, and in this issue specifically Angel. I don’t know if she was in the first run of the comics or if she was pulled out of the most recent cartoon series. Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz have been doing a great job with the pacing of the story. Nothing happens too fast and we don’t have to wait 5 issues for a decision to be made. The Purple Dragons also appear and they’re still punching bags for the turtles. Master Splinter’s beat down on the horde of Foot Ninja was enjoyable and Ronda Pattinson’s shadowy colors complements Dan Duncan’s art though I was there was a source of light reflection in Splinter’s seemingly empty eye sockets. Dan Duncan is still doing an awesome job, but I did notice that it seemed the turtles’ bandannas were squeezing their heads a little too tight. All in all this is still one of my favorite books being published every month.
