Could there possibly be a villain so badass by saying so little? Yes,and that badass is the Shredder. I don’t know what’s creepier, Shredder’s pupilless gaze or Splinter’s empty eye sockets. For those who were worried that this would be one of those books where the cover showed a charcter front and center, but they are barely in the book you are correct…kinda. It’s not what Shredder does that’s great, he doesn’t actually do anything besides remove his helmet then immediately has it back on a panel later, but his mear presence is what’s great. The turtles don’t do anything in this issue either other than argue and have April bring them to the antique shop. This issue focuses on Splinter kicking the ass of a Foot Brute (I don’t see how he could be a ninja cause he’s so big). The story doesn’t really progress much at all it’s really just fan service, but isn’t that all we ask of a Ninja Turtles comic? Dan Duncan and Ronda Pattison keep doing a superb job on art so do you really need to read about how good it is?
