Best issue so far…

I still find the art a bit clunky, the figure poses don’t seem “committed” enough…not enough “into” the depicted action. PLus, the inking is very heavy at times, which I didn’t dig.

Still, the 2 page spread of Calvin melting the treasure room was awesome.

Story? Still a little too by the numbers for me. I’m not being surprised enough, or I guess maybe I just don’t care enough about the characters.

However, the Tomb of the Unworthy piqued my interest….
SPOILER

The Court is resurrecting an 1860’s psychopathic Talon to go after Calving. That *could* be interesting.

Really close every issue to dropping this book…and I know I’ll never read these issues again, so I trade them in…I keep waiting for Talon to be REALLY interesting…

And the cover? What the hell does it have to do with the story?

Also interesting to see that DC has splashed “from the pages of BATMAN” on the cover, in a transparent ploy to get somebody to read this. (I wonder how it’s sales are doing?)
