Better than the Zero issue, for sure. But now we get Calvin’s version of Batman’s Alfred…kind of a yawn for me.

And now his patron will provide tech, inside information via his kick-ass computer skills…again kind of a meh.

I was expecting more of a street-level, underdog, nature red tooth and claw sort of a battle against the owls.

Looks like I’m not going to get that.

The issue was exposition heavy, but that didnt’ bother me as much as the overall concept–as it appears so far.

The fight scenes weren’t boring, but I didnt’ like the in-fight commentary (think vintage Schwarzenegger 80’s flick).

As for art, there weren’t as many “huh?” moments for me this issue, but there were still too many for a professional $3 comic.

I guess I”m one leg over and off the fence on to the side of dropping this—but I’ll give it one more shot.
