Once again we have another issue of Sweet Tooth and once again you’d think this is going to be a quick review. Well it’ll be somewhat quick but for once I have some more to talk about with this series! It’s like a very late Birthday present your Aunt gave you because she left it in the attic.

Jeff Lemire gives us another horizontal issue of this series and once again I absolutely enjoyed it. I love the storybook feel to the issue as the narrative gives us pieces of what’s going on but we get this single page spreads like a storybook. Of course sometimes we have pages where it’s a normal comic book, but I think it’s good to mix it up because if we didn’t have SOME plot progression in this story then I’d have issue with it. But as usual the art in this comic is great to look at and I would kill to see a Lemire children’s book. Maybe no so much a Sweet Tooth children’s book cause that would scare kids. But why not a Golden Book project? I’d buy it.

This issue is yet another tour de force for the art by Lemire and if you don’t think this is an impressive issue I don’t know what else to say. Maybe Lemire’s children’s book could be called “Goodnight Gus”?

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
