Well this was different. Lemire has proven himself to be a great writer and someone who’s stories I enjoy. The pace of sweet tooth has been slow, but for this type of story it worked because it allowed the reader to explore the suffering of the main characters. This method made us cheer for “sweet tooth”, when he escaped and saved a few friends as in previous issues. Issue 18 is strange, it was a different style, and for the most part it worked, but it felt rushed. The travels of the main characters could have been told over a few issues, leaving the reader to wonder how the main characters would survive in there created world. I hope the pace goes back to normal and a slower pace is re-established, similar previous issues – that is what I loved about this book. The story was good and the art is consistent, and what is expected from this title.
