Every single issue of this is more original then the last. How can Jeff Lemire continue to bring this much quality to a comic? I don’t think he’s human, that’s the only way to explain it. Or maybe just that he’s a very talented comic book creator.

This issue gives us almost a silent issue. If it wasn’t for the narration coming at the very bottom of the page. I gotta admit, if I didn’t notice it before I turned the page I would never have seen it the rest of the issue. The issue is a nice way to catch up for the rest of the series. For regular readers, it gives us a better insight into the apocolypse and of Dr. Singh. While it might not be the most emotional issue of the series to date, it still shows us just why this is a great series in general.

Since this is mostly a ‘silent’ issue, the art is the real focus this time around. Lemire, as always, is able to convey any type of emotion in the simplest drawing. We see just how Gus, or Singh, or anyone else feels just with a little expression. Shadows and shading has also gotten a lot better since the series started. Toward the end where the other hybrids are closing in on Gus, that is a great sequence. Also I just want to point out that this is my favorite cover of the series so far. I know what I’m gonna do once this review is over.

Sweet Tooth continues to impress every month an issue comes out. Lemire is sort of breaking the way comics are made and making his own thing. For newcomers this issue will show you just how unique this series is. For readers who have stayed on since the first issue, it continues to deliver the emotion and character development of each characters.
