If Scott Snyder had stubbed his fingers and not been able to find anyone to add any text to this issue, it would still be a four star book. Every time Paquette draws an issue, I get sad that he hasn’t drawn all of them. This is gorgeous, and the facial expressions and page layouts tell more of this story than any of the dialog or exposition.

Snyder’s dialog and exposition are fine. I don’t mean to belittle his storytelling. This third (quarter if we’re including Eart 2?) of the Rotworld storyline is not just head and shoulders, but an entire giant body above the rest. Where Lemire’s Animal Man is sort of fizzling out in the red, Snyder’s Swamp Thing seems more urgent in the green.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
