Ive never read a single issue of Swamp Thing before reading this issue today, including any of the classic Alan Moore run ive heard so much about. With that being said i fall into the demographic of what Dc was aiming towards with this relaunch which was to engage new readers to the world of Dc and provide a great jumping on point. I felt for a first issue this was good, but maybe a little too good if you get what i mean. I felt it was trying to do to much and i personally didnt enjoy the pacing of the story which included an appearance from Superman, a few strange occurences in different areas mixed in with vague details about this characters past which im sure we will get to in good time as ive heard Snyders ability to build up a suspenseful story with a good payoff is well worth the wait. I just felt that if he was going to go with this approach ( which im sure he will) this issue wasnt the best example of that to begin with. Other then that this was a pretty decent issue and has got me intrested enough to continue buying this for at least the first story arc to see where this goes. The art also was great on this as well.
