This was a surprise this week. I didn’t think that I would enjoy this issue as much as I did. The idea this week was neat.

The Kryptonians decided to show Superman their thanks by doing him a “favor.” The best part about how it was done, was how Robinson started it with some of Zod’s soldiers. The shock at the end caught me off guard. Which is always nice now a days.

The art and coloring in this book is not all that fantastic in my opinion. I think Guedes tends to have more wrinkles on everyone’s face then what is needed. My other issue is the fact that some people’s costumes look a little too much like pajamas. The coloring also seemed a little on the dull side for me. Some books I prefer this, but Superman needs to pop with color.

The last thing I wanted to mention was Supergirl’s mother. I think she’s fantastic. She is a walking cliche, but a reminder that not every Kryptonian is nice, especially the ones we may expect it from.

Overall this was a decent issue and well needed at least for me with this arc. I’m more excited for the next issue since it looks like Frank may be back on Action.

A side note for Ron… posting this review on the G1 may not have been a good idea.
