Not the Dr. Strange I was looking for.

The first page is a quick what the reader needs to know about Dr. Strange for this series. A recap with the an old school comic look on top and a modern look on bottom. For me it was all down hill from there.

The art is the new Marvel Anime look, lots of wide open mouths and disheveled hair cuts. The story looks to be setting up the new status quo for the Dr. and he’s lost all dignity.  Maybe I should have looked into the issue more before purchase, but I thought Mark Waid + Dr. Strange how bad could it be.  Six pages in and you’ll know how it ends, not just this issue but the whole limited series.

    Definitely agree with you there.  Really hoped for a lot more from this book.  Another instance where the cover sells without any substance to back it up.  Doubt I’ll pick it up again next month.

    Worst book I’ve read this year.  I gave it one start only because zero does not seem to an option.

    I agree – I gave this book a try and was sorely disappointed. Oh well, I’ll save 3.99 when each of the next ones come out.

    Really disappointed with this one, it would have been fine as a Marvel Adventures book but didn’t feel like the ‘real’ Stephen Strange
