It was not so long ago that I dropped acid with a group of friends and watched Ths Shining.  While they all freaked out and twitched at all the scary parts, I spent the entire film lost in the patterns of the amazing carpets that filled the hotel.  This comic book is totally that trippy carpet.  The writing is interesting, and if it continues to be about Peter’s relationship with the spider that bit him, I’ll be suitably impressed.  But right now, I really mostly care about all the pretty pretty colors.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 5 - Excellent

  1. "While they all freaked out and twitched at all the scary parts, I spent the entire film lost in the patterns of the amazing carpets that filled the hotel."

This review needs to be highlighted for that sentence alone.

  2. @ottobot: Thanks.  It was a fun night.  It took me roughly three hours to walk from my friend’s house to my own house, right down the street.  But when I checked to see what time it was, I realized it had been less than five minutes.  Again, a good night.
