Fucking amazing.

I’d give the art a ten out of five if I could. The storytelling is unbelievably strong. Lovely futuristic colours. It gives the world it’s own look and it’s own tone. I can see the influence of so many other great sci-fi stories in this already. I found it very evocative and moving.

The writer’s approach is spot on for me. Everything you need to know about the world and the character is there in the art so there is no reason to simply explain it. The dialogue is instead just an addition to the art and blends in perfectly with the world. The issue was very well structured and very well paced.

The tone is just seeping off every page. Very well thought out and just beautifully done in every way. I plead with you to take your sweet time with this and let yourself become immersed in the overall tone, it very much rewards the attentive reader.

Story: 5 - Excellent

  1. ok, seriously, what the hell is this about??? I want to like it but. . . what is it?

  2. It’s about a spaceman, in the future! Don’t worry if you don’t like it, man. We all have different tastes and enjoy different things!

  3. I read SPACEMAN #1 and I couldn’t make heads or tails out of it. It was a waste of a dollar. At least it didn’t cost $2.99.

  4. The heads and tails are there waiting to be made, my friend. Maybe you would rather not have bought it and that’s fair, but I am disconcerted by the use of the word ‘waste’ (especially considering the amount of creative thought and effort put into it). But hey ho, each to his own.
