Are you reading Skullkickers? If the answer to that question is “no,” then you need to slap yourself and go buy this book.  I got into this series after picking up the first trade, and I haven’t wanted to put it down since.  This series is a fantasy water bottle filled with hilarity and charm.  It doesn’t take itself very seriously, and each story plays on the tropes that we’re familiar with and then turns the dial up to 11 on the wackiness scale.  This issue continues the current storyline, which finds our intrepid heroes framed for the murder of nobility in the big city.  Of course, this leads to a much darker plot, and our heroes fittingly stumble through the story from twist to twist, adjusting to the rhythm of the moment as any good swashbucklers do.  Do yourself a favor.  Buy the trade.  Then pick up issues 7-9.  Lastly, smile like an idiot while reading this and don’t be afraid, for one second, to laugh your ass off.
