I kind of like the concept of this.  We learned in Secret Invasion that Beta Ray Bill had been held and tortured by the Skrulls.  Paragon of machismo that he is, Bill accepted his torture unflinchingly, as terrible as it was, and still managed to have enough gas in the tank to help Thor kick all kinds of ass during the invasion of Asgard.  The same Skrulls that were responsible for the torture and invasion were so impressed by Beta Ray Bill, clearly recognizing his immense level of manliness and awesome, basically built a religion around him... and this is as it should be.  Beta Ray Bill worship is equivalent to praying to a thousand Bruce Campbells, then punching out a gorilla with your bare fist.  Unfortunately, the Skrulls are not as wise as those of us that realize this, and are fickle in their religious clingyness.  After questioning his actions and citing a few irreconcilable differences, the Skrulls transfer their worship to the next most powerful guy.  Although I liked the idea of the Skrulls, essentially being religious fundamentalists, are searching for meaning in the wake of Secret Invasion, and I understand the ease of which one can come to worship Beta Ray Bill, the execution was a little off.  The story fell a little flat, the dialogue seemed unpolished and undynamic, and the art was bordering on just bad.  Very rough looking, and not in a good way, and the action shots lacked any real impact.  As this seems to be one in a short series of Beta Ray Bill one-shots, I'm hoping they can bring a little more to the table next time.
